Pedroia to SS?

PrintOn sports center this morning they reported that Dustin Pedroia was asked if he could play SS, this coming from Dustin himself to one of the espn reporters. Pedroia seems very excited to possibly play ss and he played ss at Arizona and in the minors. I'm not sure how i feel about it. I love Pedroia and have faith that he could play ss, but who would play 2nd base? Jed? Any thoughts?
