ANAHEIM - Former San Diego Padres general manager Kevin Towers said he'll take a couple of months off and enjoy some of the time (2010 season) remaining on his Padres contract before deciding his next step in baseball.
Towers could easily land a scouting gig or special assistant job with Boston or New York (Yankees) where he has good friends in Theo Epstein and Brian Cashman who would love to have Towers evaluate players. The Red Sox have told him he can work for them if he wants to. With Sox assistant GM Jed Hoyer a frontrunner to land Towers' old job in San Diego, that job could be open for Towers as well.

I didn't like the old one very much. I didn't see the ball there very well. - Julio Lugo on the old Yankees Stadium.

NO.
MY OREOS. NO ONE ELSE HAS THEM.
Yeah, if he could keep access to his old email or something, that’d be great.
