The Red Sox added six players to their spring training camp, all of whom will be non-roster players and on Triple Pawtucket's roster. They are infielders Angel Chavez, Nick Green and Ivan Ochoa, outfielder Chip Ambres, righthanded pitcher Fernando Cabrera, and catcher Carlos Maldonado.
The club also announced it has added Alex Ochoa to the coaching staff (official title: Major League Coaching Staff Assistant). Ochoa will be a jack of all trades, assisting with pregame preparations, advance scouting, and in-game assignments. Ochoa is in his first year as a coach after ending his playing career in Japan last year .

I could be wrong here
But wasn’t Chip Ambres our prospect a while ago? What happened to the guy?
Mother---- him and John Wayne!
We only had Ambres for 84 games in ’05. Not that great, but his .294/.401 line is pretty studly for AAA.
We shipped him to KC, did we not?
Welcome back Ambres.

Yeah and I remember thinking (after he hit a few homers for the Royals), "Didn't we have him?"

I have another thing to say about this
Andy Roddick is going to fucking kill Federer. Just watch it. Roddick will show the world that, despite his trash talking about other players, Roger is a big girly GIRL.
Mother---- him and John Wayne!
That's about "this"?
I totally missed the original topic apparently. :)

We should have a Surrealism thread.
Call it the Persistence of Reverie or something.

Just a minute, the lobster’s ringing again.
"no1 has time to read your long comments, are you writing a book?"
Is it funny that I Google'd "surreal"...
[insert sad education system joke] and the Wikipedia page has this pic?
For those children who claimed they’ve been a fan of their favorite team all their life, or even since they were about four or five years old: bullshit. There’s always that certain event or certain player that draws to the sport and draws you to a team. For me, Nomar Garciaparra was that reason. - Nick Coviello: I Try To See Rocco, But All I Think Is Nomar; 1/9/09
I had to stare for a sec to get the pic.
