Andruw Jones??
Ok how about this, Red Sox sign Jones as a 4th outfielder to go with Bay, Jacoby, and Drew. it makes perfect sense because he needs a good team to try and revamp his career and being a 4th outfielder for a World Series competitive team would be great for us and him. Red Sox need a 4th outfielder that can play weeks on end because J.D Drew always gets hurt or if Jacoby doesnt step it up this year. he is a perfect fit for us. we dont need a high price player like Texiera. remember we scored the second most runs in the league and most of those coming after we traded Ramirez.

Nah
Pass. Solid defender, but Coco is/was actually just as good. It would almost make as much sense to trade for Coco back.
Well, I'll appreciate for you to keep my zingers outta your mouth!

Just like
how guys said on here about Adam Dunn, it’s too many k’s to come off the bench. Plus, I don’t think he’ll go anywhere to be a 4th outfielder. He’ll probably be traded to the Mets to be their right fielder.

Dunn is not a bench player.
As for Jones, I don’t see it happening.

You really want to give 200-300 ABs...
…to a guy who’ll strike out 100-150 times if he hits that often? Because if that’s an option, sign me — I’ll cost a lot less.

No thank you
the guy sat on the Dodgers bench bc he wouldnt get into shape in 08. Not a big fan of AJ, but I would consider Juan Pierre, if the Dodgers paid for most of his deal.

It'd be a trade, not a signing, btw.

Unless the Dodgers release him before spring training,
which would make him a FA.

He had his contract restructured.
Smells like a trade.

Yes, but
The trade market for Jones is pretty much non-existent. Restructuring the contract does make him more tradable, but it also gives the Dodgers more financial flexibility in 2009. Should they release him, they only have to pay him $5MM this year, rather than $15MM.

No to Jones.
By the way is anyone else annoyed by his name? Imagine if we all talked like that…
“My numu is Andruw Junus und Um thu bust busubull pluyur uvur! Gu Yunkuus!”
"It's just a tiny little nick, but it hurts when I get champagne in there."

Umm... it's his parents fault.
Only the “e” is replaced with a “u.”

you are sounding a bit racist...
Jones grew up in CuraƧao, Netherland Antilles, so my guest that his first name is a dutch variation of Andrew.. Stop with the slurs, he has won more gold gloves than you have had hot meals, so show a little respect.

jones can't hit
Jones is out of shape, he has shown that he can’t handle either a breaking ball or a fastball. There is no point in taking Jones, no matter if he was a gold glove centerfielder.
