Afternoon All!
Go Sox!
Hi Randy, Hi Allen – wherever you are

Good afternoon

Hiya
While I’m waiting for the Sox game, I’m watching Colts at Vikings. Peyton Manning is not playing AT ALL, the Colts look like a sorry team this year, and Adrian Peterson is indeed a fucking monster. :)

I'm not a football fan
But I sort of like the Colts because they have some funny blogs on the internet. I hate Eli very much, but I enjoy watching Peyton playing. :)
The one I can’t stand is Tony Dungy. His comments on Bill Belichick were very dumbass like.

Everybody's getting a game off
It’s just Jed’s turn right now—of course, they might put him in late in the game if Tito thinks it’s necessary.
Understood
I’m just not a big Cora fan. I’d like to see Carter get a game at DH. He looks like a professional hitter.

But am I the only one who thinks NASCAR is VERY dumb?
Mother---- him and John Wayne!
No
I don’t understand why people would want to spend three hours on TV watching a bunch of drivers make a whole bunch of left turns.
If you’re there, maybe it’s a bit more exciting, but even then, I’m still dubious.
Yeah, that's my point
It’s really not hard to speed around in circles.

If you want to survive in the Tampa area, you need them.
99% of the drivers around here are f’n dumbasses
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
Agreed
One of the most terrifying experiences of my life is having to drive my parents home up a twisty, winding rural road with cliffs on one side and a river on the other while being tailgated by a car mover that wanted to go 65 (on a 35-mph road). I almost had a heart attack.
You think so?
I mean, it’s sort of hard and all. It’s just nowhere near Formula One and all. The hard part of racing, for me, is about how to use the breaks without losing much speed. And making all those crazy turns. A F1 track look like a fucking maze sometimes… :)

Whatever floats your boat
I live in a “Friday NIght Lights” kind of town—football is king, and nobody really gets my Sox-love down here.
I kinda live in one of those towns.
I go to the crappy-team-that’s-never-in-the-typical-TV/movie high school, though.

They're not a very good team in my town, either
But their football stadium can probably house most of the town (~26K people).
I mean, we have great local high schools:
Armwood, Plant, Lakeland, etc.
I just got stuck at the worst football school in the area.

SMB = Pay-Fraud = A-Rod
(SMB comes from Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS, when he coughed up a run by slapping Arroyo’s arm.)
Oh.
I knew that, just had issues puting it together. His lips look more purple/pink, IMO. He would’ve been at SS for us though.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
I have a theory as to why he wasn't allowed to come here.
If you look at recent “success” of the MFY, combined with AARP-rod’s clutchness, you should figure it out.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
There were plenty of reasons not to sign A-Rod
(1) Bloated contract.
(2) Prima donna attitude
(3) His “automatic transmission” playing style
(http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-arod083108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns)
I think that the MLB kept him from us, sent him to the MFY, payed him extra to be unclutch.
Before he came, the MFY were unbeatable.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
"He's goddamn Pedro Martinez"
We almost had them in 2003. But the extra unclutchness definitely helped to swing the balance of power in our direction.
That might be why the MLB steered him their way.

Two points
—Hitting ground ball hits through the infield is a low % way to get hits and shows poor contact. Yet that’s what Coco usually does. He is a weak hitter both in power and in his inability to get the ball in the air.
—This was not what i consider a clutch sitaution at bat. Coco gets his share of hits early in the game and in non-critical late game situations. However, in a late game-determining situation, he is not whom I want at bat. Better than Lugo and Varitek, but not much, IMHO!

I like Mo, Jetes, and AARP-rod.
They all contributed to the my life in one way or another.

No question
Papi is much faster than Lowell or Casey.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
You mean . . .
Sean “Slower than glass” Casey?
Sean “Let me turn an easy single into a gunned-down out at second” Casey?
Yup
Even when he was jakin’ it, Manny was faster down the line than Casey.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Actually, yes.
Glass does flow. It’s just that you don’t see it move on the timescale of your lifetime.
Not faster, just picks up more momentum.
He could sprint to first, jump onto a innertube, and make it all the way to the bend in Right Field.

Used to make plays where he was stretched out like a gymnast doing splits on a fairly regular basis.
Not seeing the Eyechart connection
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
Hard to spell name.
Nobody could spell it right, so fans started calling him Eyechart (because that’s what the sequence of letters starts resembling “tk,” "cz").
GAME

Closer than it should have been, but huge win here. Wonderful job by the Sox to take 3 against the Jays. They’re fucking dead now, me thinks.

I like to screw with them though.
They openly admit that they act like they haven’t been there before.

I got some thing for my science project due Friday. I'll blow it off till Thurday night.
My hypotheses on which combination of bat and ball wil go furthest.
Big Barrel Metal Bat and Tennis ball. Finished!
He who hesitates is tagged out between first and second base./ Media is plural for mediocre./ If the left part of the brain controls the right part of the body, then only lefties are in the right mind./ If you think the Rays suck, then try walking to Boston in Joe Maddon's shoes. That way, when you say they suck, you're in Boston and you have his shoes!/ Baseball is like church, many go, but few understand.
Agree with the last part of the sig.
For your science project: any aluminum bat and a golf ball. Get insurance before you test it.

Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
Sorry, I already tuened in the question
Bats: Balls:
Big Barrel Metal Baseball
Little Barrel Metal Softball
Wood Tennis ball
My Hypo is that big barrel + tennis ball.
And one of the variables is “pop”, which is what seperates new bats from old bats. Is houlda done that instead….
My last sig was too long, so my new one is: He who hesitates is a mediocre ambidextrouis stupid person who thinks the Rays suck and stole Joe Maddon's shoes while thinking he was at a baseball game but was at church.
GREAT SIG.
Too many variables for my liking, but whatever gets the grade.
Remember when we were kids and we mixed sodas together and called them "suicides"? It was OK though, because Dr. Pepper was always there.
Oops, misspelled
ambidextrous. Is there an I?
I’m making a hiiting machine for my project (seriously.) I’m gonna call it the “Destroyah”, it will be like 4 feet tall.
My last sig was too long, so my new one is: He who hesitates is a mediocre ambidextrious stupid person who thinks the Rays suck and stole Joe Maddon's shoes while thinking he was at a baseball game but was at church.
So it's on a 300:1 ratio scale?
machine:man

I think that this game is right behind the 19-17 Rangers game in terms of the greatest game for us this season.
