I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Beat me to it.
Funny how the Sox lineup is numbered but the Royals’ isn’t. Hope Lowell and Ortiz are okay – they’re both dealing with injuries.
Scored a double
Nice start
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

That was pretty sucky
Though heads up by Pedroia.
The wrist looked OK on that RBI single

KC wasn't paying attention
He stole one against Oakland.

Tied at 1
Tampa and Cleveland tied at 3
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Not starting well.
Beckett throws a fastball right down the middle of the plate to KC’s 2nd best hitter. Run scoring double, after Drew misplay.
Becks is also missing with his breaking ball location.
damn
I was hoping Beckett could make that 1 run hold up, after all its more then what we gave him against NY.
Too all Sox players, THEY ARE KANSAS CITY, LET’S JUST WAKE UP AND BEAT THESE GUYS 6-2 LIKE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO.
Beckett's fast ball in the low 90s
He usually throws harder
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
The offense will have to score more than 1 run to win

with respect to NY
I don’t see how they continue to win games. Now with Joba going down and Wang still missing, their starting pitching is as thin as a supermodel.
Yep
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

The gameday
Also has him up to 95mph. He seems to be settling a bit, now if we can just get him some runs. I think I said 6 would be nice.

Only eight minutes left to submit an online endorsement for RSN Governor.
Please take a moment to endorse my buddy Jason for Maryland.
If you do this for him, I guarantee the Indians will come back to beat the Rays.
Thank you.

I don’t like him leading off, but there’s no denying he’s an on-base machine.

Edwin Jackson isn't going to make it out of the sixth inning in Tampa.
They have Howell warming up with one out.
No
But he has a good 2-seamer tonight. He hasn’t gotten the call. But it’s important to throw to both sides of the plate.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

On the shirt. Anyone else think balls off the shirt that don’t hit the body shouldn’t count?

He's been pretty good for us with RISP.
But he won’t produce every time. Especially since nearly every plate appearance lately has seen him hitting with RISP.

Don't know if that's the greatest nickname for him.
A couple of weeks ago he was pitching pissed off about something and throwing great strikes very fast.
I'm betting on bad news for the MFY
From MLB.com:
Chamberlain underwent an MRI on his stiff right shoulder Tuesday in New York, but the Yankees did not immediately announce what that exam showed. The team revealed only that Chamberlain will travel to Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday to receive a second opinion from renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews

My favorite Seagal scene
is in “Glimmer Man” when he offers to bribe a bunch of Russian mafia, and then pulls out a razor-tipped credit card and slices their necks open. Link.
Drew
I know someone pointed out that they didn’t like him hitting first, but let’s say it again, the dude is an OBP machine.
Pedroia gets his first hit.
He’s such a good hitter. I expect him to get at least two hits almost every night.
What happened to Bannister?
He had a nice season last year, didn’t he? He was TOP 5 or so on ROY if I’m not mistaken.

Full count on the New Guy.
Should we just say Baywatch every time he comes up?
Or better yet, “Pamela Anderson/Carmen Electra sighting at (insert ballpark)”
PS:singled
I like both puns
but sadly can imagine McCarver saying them
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
( Joe Girardi on pitching to Manny Ramirez with first base open)
Lowrie is tired of batting against mortals.
He wants to prove his glove is better than Wholio now. He likes to set low goals to bring his other achievements to human level. Let’s go lefty cap pitcher
2.) Watch Smith strike out Gordon while performing Voodoo on Gordon Doll made out of his magic glove [CHECK]
3.) Watch JD catch final out, run to Tropicana Field and punch the idiot who was about to put the Rays as up by 3.5 games on the scoreboard [CHECK]
Chris Smith with the 'save'

You mean the one about how overrated the closers are?
I read that one because ‘don believe the hype’ is a great Public Enemy track. :)
But if that’s not the one, then I don’t know.

I sort of agree with the guy
But most closers are so badass that it doesn’t matter if they’re overrated or not. Not K-Rod. K-Rod is not badass. K-Rod is just overrated. :)

I have a sad feeling that the Rangers don't wanna win that game

They'd better win
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Great game.
Beckett stepped up big time, LowRBI and Bay got nice hits, Papi drove some in. Timlin didn’t blow a 7-run lead. Good times all around. Goodnight everyone!
And they ask Tiger about it:
“Ugh. I don’t think it’s gonna end…” A man of the people, that Tiger is.
For what it's worth!
Other than the chronic offensive weakness at catcher, which WILL have to be dealt with by the eventual removal of Varitek IMO, I thought the line up for Tuesday night’s game was about the best I have seen or could imagine for the sox. Exciting and strong to say the least.
Even if they leave Varitek in for now, this line-up can repeat as champions. I stress that Crisp and Lugo MUST be kept off the field as they just don’t have even the potential to allow momentum to gather and extend. They are truly momentum suckers of the first degree. Ellsburg and Lowrie and Bay can infuse and foster momentum as they did on Tuesday. If you keep Crisp and Lugo out of the lineup, that just leaves Varitek as the sole primary momentum sucker, and although not ideal, one momentum sucker can be likely tolerated for a while!!
