MFY already down 4-0
With Halladay on the mound for Toronto. I’d love to see the MFY finish 4th.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Hey there

GG, you think?
He robs shitloads of doubles, and is yet to make an error. He doesn’t have much of an arm, however.

Not likely
GGs usually go to the usual suspects: Hunter, Ichiro, etc.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Yeah, that pisses me off a bit
GG are dumb by many reasons, and this is one of them.

This may be an interesting game
Lots of sun. I expect to see a few misplayed balls in the OF.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Was it Quentin
Who earlier this season was hit in the head by a flyball after missing it with the glove? I don’t remember who was but that was pretty funny. :)

Everything is falling for Dusty
1st and 3rd
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
He is definitely the fastest clean-up hitter the Sox have had in a while.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Crede robs Bay
Oh well, he hit it hard.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Last night's play was strange
I’ve never seen a runner get picked off with such a small lead. Cora was half a step from the bag.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

He was taking a nap
Or maybe thinking about taking one.

Double for Taco
Nice to see him turn on an inside pitch.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
From MLBTR:
Sources tell Sherman that Steinbrenner wants to make CC Sabathia the highest paid pitcher ever.
Can’t wait. :)

Swisher down swinging
1st K for Wake.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Bad call
It didn’t look like Ortiz went around.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
It happens.
Every time Ortiz gets pissed I think he’s going to get ejected. He still doesn’t seem 100% to me – appears to be swinging at a lot of junk out of the strike zone.
Wow ...
I didn’t know Alex Cora had that much power.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
Bailey, Cash, and Cora
Have been on base three times today. Each has a hit.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
wazzup fellers
jacoby has the only ribi? Pedroia 3 for 3 yet?
He who hesitates is tagged out between first and second base.
Dusty only has one hit
A bloop single in the first.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Afternoon All
can we get some offense please?!
Go Sox!!
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
( Joe Girardi on pitching to Manny Ramirez with first base open)
Good afternoon
Wake never gets run support.

let's get a rally going
MFY coming up in the last of the 9th, down 6-2
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
( Joe Girardi on pitching to Manny Ramirez with first base open)
For us, right?
You had me scared the way you worded that.
He who hesitates is tagged out between first and second base.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaa
no way in heck I ever root for the MFY…
how’s this: I hope the Sox get a rally going
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."

Did anyone see that barehanded play by CC?
Comebacker, and he just sticks his hand out and catches it, and then doubles the runner off first.
He who hesitates is tagged out between first and second base.
Oh well ...
2 of 3 ain’t bad. Too bad Tampa is destroying Baltimore.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
my thoughts exactly
the Sox just need to do what they’ve been doing to make the playoffs; they dont have to win the division EVERY year :-).
I know last year was the 1st in along time & it was sweet bc the MFY were in in the mix
have a good night everyone
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
( Joe Girardi on pitching to Manny Ramirez with first base open)
is it just me..
or do we seem to always drop that 3rd game of a series? And of course when Tampa smoked the Orioles again. Regrettably I’m conceded the division, but we are still looking sweet for the wc. All I know is the Angels will be shitting themselves having to play us again in the playoffs. My question is this(and yes I am too lazy to do the research myself), but when are these guys expected to return healthy?
Youk
Drew
Beckett
Lowell
I mean seriously, it was nice to take 4 out of the last 6, but that lineup we are throwing out there will have serious difficulty overcoming quality starting pitching.
on "Baseball Tonight"
they said Drew could play Tuesday; Beckett will pitch Friday; Lowell will be back next week, too. Don’t know about Youk. Speculation also was that Wakefield is not right. He could be still be injured. His mechanics looked bad today.
I don’t think the Angels — who went 8-0 against us this year – are “shitting themselves” thinking about the prospect of playing us in the playoffs. Probably the other way around, at least the way things have gone this year.
At this point, one thing at a time. We have to make the playoffs first. I can’t believe the Twins keep winning. I’m with you on this current Boston lineup – too weak for the long haul, but, hopefully, not much longer.
By the way, I’d like to see Casey back, too. No word on him.
Youk just came down with a stomach flu virus (like Crisp).
He should be back soon, hopefully. Maybe tomorrow, maybe in a few days?
Casey has back issues and is on the DL. Not sure about his ETA.
I disagree
I reckon we have the wood on the Angels. Yeah, I know the argument isn’t sabermetrically sound, however sabermetrically we are the better team, well at least based on our pythag.
