Sox, Rangers combine for 36 runs

What the hell happened? (via d.yimg.com)
19-17.
That's just stupid. Crazy stupid.
I mean, how the...? How can they...? What kind of...?
Here's all you need to know:
- The Red Sox won.
- Charlie Zink was pretty good until he allowed 8 runs.
- David Ortiz finished with six runs batted in.
- Kevin Youkilis, as well as Ortiz, hit two home runs. Youkilis finished with five runs batted in.
- Dustin Pedroia had five hits and scored five runs.
- Hideki Okajima brought the game down to earth with 1.2 innings of hitless (one walk) work. I think he's back.
- Holy crap.
Seriously, what can be said about this game? I know one thing: this recap writeup would be 1,000 words longer had the Sox lost this game.

When I got home, Zink was already out of the game
But his call came in a bad time. He had lots of bad starts in AAA, and I didn’t expect much as well. On a short rest, against the AL top offense? That’s mean. He should get another shot… Next season.
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Mine was the opppsite
I hung in there until we finally lost the lead at 16-14, got so disgusted I went to bed. Jjust got up to check how we did (yeah, I must be nuts considering its 3:09 a.m.) and now am happy again! This bullpen, however, kind of depresses me. It’s certainly not playoff material, unless Oki can re-gain form and Masterston can take over 6th-7th for DeCarlmen, who has totally gone down the toilet with Aardsma and Lopez.
On the bright side is the never-say-die offense, led by consistant battlers Pedroia and Youkilis. Here’s hoping tonight’s effort snaps Big Papi out of his yearl-long funk, too.
We HAD to win that game; a loss would have been morally a killer. I mean, how can you blow a t0-run lead twice in the game …..at home, no less!
I agree about Zink – very unimpressive. I mean, come on – they gave you 10 runs in the first and you still couldn’t win??? Find someone else.

In defense of Zink
I know he looked terrible, but he really doesn’t normally pitch this badly. Normally he’s able to have more control of that knuckler, which lets his mid 80’s fastball look that much faster. I agree that he looked terrible and definitely should be sent down, but he definitely was not on his game tonight. Here’s hoping Buchholz can figure it out cause it’s looking like he’ll continue to be our fifth starter for at least another start.

Perhaps even crazier ...
Rangers starting pitcher Scott Feldman … 2 2/3 innings pitched.

A walk in the park
Oh, and Tampa lost …
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

It just doesn't bode well
When Tom Brady can only come up with one touchdown and four field goals against a defense like that…
Oh, wait. Wrong sport.

I hate my roommate
Of course when the Red Sox play Texas I get to watch it on the local channels and of course this is the day the cable company shut off our cable because he was behind on the payments. Damn him I would have watched the most entertaining game…....
Man do I hate Longhorn fans, well except for the ones that actually went there.

I have family in Texas who were calling me like: WTF is there a ton of fumes in Boston that is causing the scoreboard opperators to get crazy high?
Don't question my choice of teams, or I will have to go all troll on you.
