2008 All-Star Screw Up
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the AL All-Star team is completely screwed up? Jason Varitek on the team, and Mike Lowell not? Why? Varitek is batting .215 with 7 home runs and 27 ribbies. Varitek's brain and ability to handle pitchers is invaluable, but that is not what the all-star team is all about. However Lowell, who is batting .295 with 13 homers and 54 RBIs, with only 6 errors in the Hot Corner. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Comment if you would like to... Thanks

I was under the impression that the players voted for Varitek. I don’t think his stats merit a trip but the vote is what it is…
While I think players want to win – home field adv is huge…I think he got the players’ votes for the reasons you stated.
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."

Yup
Blame the players and coaches. They voted him in. It seems they’re just as bad as the fans. After all, they awarded Jeter 3 Gold Gloves.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Fish got to swim, birds got to fly
See also: death, taxes, Jeter failing to reach a ball when ranging to his left.
We’ve ALWAYS got to complain about the All-Star Game. It’s about as ridiculous as the Gold Glove awards, and should be treated about as seriously.

Your Post
This is one of the best posts i have ever read!!! Your story line is great and you are a natural writer. Keep it coming. I agree about Lowell… that is really unfair.
Which of your personalities has taken over now?
