Manny Leaving Red Sox According to Boston Globe
Today an article was published by the Boston Globe claiming that Manny was on his way out of Boston. Instead of pure speculation the writer seems to talk as if he has some sort of inside knowledge in regards to a deal being made. So the question remains: is this just speculation by Dan Shaughnessy or are the Red Sox seriously considering getting rid of Manny before July 31st?

The CHB strikes again
I don’t like that guy. Never have, never will. Everything he writes must bne ingested with a pound of salt.
Yes, a pound.

Sadly
a pound of salt will not improve the taste of a ton of shit. This is just CHB being CHB, overreacting to everything, nothing more.
Manny is in the lineup today. All is well.

Teamwork means managment treating everyone the same and asking the max from all!
Manny is a prima donna and the antithesis of this theory. No team can be really cohesive with such a player on it. Many of you here look at him through rose colored glasses because of his hitting talents, but just how far in an anti-team-harmony direction are you willing to go with this belief??

NO TEAM?
I am a believer in team unity and chemistry but if you seriously think Manny’s attitude is going to make or break this team you are crazy. Is the bullpen they only unit mad at Manny because that is the only unit of the team performing abnormally poorly lately.

They don't score enough runs,
and often that is why they loose, so just blaming the bullpen is not enough. There are nights when the pen does quite well but the team just doe not score too much. I think the team is depressed because behind the scenes, crap is happening that is not conducive to a coherent team effort. Manny may well be the center of this discontent.

Shaughnessy is becoming a caricature
Even more so than he was. Can someone post a good cartoon drawing of him?

I say
Trade Manny to the Mets for a few mid-level prospects, then flip Masterson, Anderson, and maybe Reddick or Kalish to Hotlanta for Teixeira. I’m sure Youk can figure out LF and we gain a little bit of offense with Teixeira as opposed to Manny.

lmao
mid level prospects for manny?? are you crazy, if we lose manny this year to prospects, red sox could wave goodbye to the playoffs, there is nobody that can replace manny and what he has done in boston

manny
he’s not going anywhere, this happens every year, either manny says he wants to be traded or the red sox say they want to trade him, but at the end manny will always be a red sox. The front office knows they cant replace manny especially when we have the yankees in our division, manny is a yankee killer and a killer in the playoffs. If the red sox get rid of manny it will be the dumbest move ever made

Not gonna happen
Best of luck getting someone to take on Lugo’s contract. The Sox are going to just have to eat it up. A trade to Houston could be possible though. Anyone know if the Astro’s have deemed Pence untouchable?

lugo
true red sox paid way tooooo much, what is wrong with them, it’s not as lugo can hit 20+hr’s year. If they paid a nobody like lugo just like that thinking he was gonna be great they better keep manny!!

"short to the point"
<!- TOKEN_1216591538330_TOKEN -><!- TOKEN_1216592754915_TOKEN ->David Ortiz has homered in his 3rd straight game with Pawtucket, thats great news for Red Sox Nation but the Red Sox are talking trading for another hitter just in case, what do you think? I think we have enough bats in our lineup to get us in the post season w/o Papi, having Papi back would definetly make us stronger but what i truly believe is that we need to trade for another solid starting pitcher to get us through the 1st half and going into playoffs. Schilling probably not coming back anymore so we need a replacement, we cant trust masterson, bucholz, or even lester yet, they are too young to step up in the playoffs, they might get us in the playoffs but we need that 4 solid punch hit. What if beckett or matsuzaka went down towards the end of the year, we need that insurance and Eric Bedard would be that solid fit, dont you think? I know mariners are looking to rebuild and want to get rid of bedard why not give it a shot. He’s on the DL right now but when he comes back he would really help out especially with all that success at fenway park. <!- TOKEN_1216592677138_TOKEN ->Hey we are a championship team and we should do whatever possible to keep it that way not wait, hope, and see.GO RED SOX!!!!!!
