PAWSOX DROP THIRD STRAIGHT- BOWDEN TAKES LOSS July 21, 2008 (Columbus, OH) - The highly anticipated Triple-A debut of righty Michael Bowden did not go according to plan. The 21-year-old phenom gave up 3 runs in 4 innings as the PawSox lost their third straight game, 4-1 at Columbus. From the outset, the PawSox just couldn't get their offense going. The Pawtucket batters managed just 5 hits, never more than one in an inning. With the Sox losing and Scranton winning its' 9th straight, the I.L. North division lead has dwindled to just a game and a half. On Monday night, two of the Columbus runs were knocked in by former Pawtucket players. Ed Rogers and Luis Jimenez each had an RBI. The series continues on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. Edgar Martinez (4-1) faces Shairon Martis (0-2).
