Runelvys

Most likely the ugliest sounding name I know.

Great work there by Hansen

Get Tejada to K on 3 pitches, Berkman to ground out in 1, and also retired Lee. 8 pitches to get through the best part of the Astros’ line-up.

Meaning Berkman or Okajima

Either way, bad news…

Okie needs to keep his pitches lower..

lower and on the corners, he doesn’t have the pinpoint accuracy he was so dominating in 2007…

Now, I’m not so sure on how Cora is a better hitter than Paps.

Soooo...

... is Oki now our 8 2/3s inning guy now?

Is he not chastened by how quickly and completely we turned on Timlin?

Rock me, sexy Jesus...

by nuthinboutnuthin on Jun 27, 2008 11:09 PM EDT reply actions

Whew!

Berkman v. Paps, it could had gone either way but smart pitch by Papelbon..

I am just worried for over extending Paps..

I would had put Manny in the 8th, Okajima in the 7th, given Manny is pitching pretty well to okay right now, while Okajima seems to throw his change up at 80 mph letter high over the plate…

I wonder how they use Paps if it is a close game tomorrow, and I am guessing Aardsma will be used tomorrow..

by superferret on Jun 27, 2008 11:10 PM EDT reply actions

However...

If Boston had Houston’s bullpen, there will be constant screaming from the 7th inning to the 9th. four balls to Pedroia..

How was Dice-K looking...

...at the end? Could we have gotten another inning, or would Tejada/Berkman/Lee have done him in?

I would put Aardsma in to close it out for the 9th… I am always paranoid in overworking Paps

Trade Okajima...

I love the guy, he was great in 07, I loved his curve, but he is becoming Gagne-like.. Better to get 2-3 prospects from the Dodgers for example. I don’t trust Okie when it is a one run lead at Yankee Stadium compare to much confidence in him like game 2 of the 07 World Series…
