Growing up in the 80's...

...you could count on the Celts to deliver the goods, which was important considering what the Sox were doing in in ‘86, and the Pats in ‘85.

I just feel bad for all the Los Angelenos who had to watch their team quit on them halfway through the game. Not bad enough to not taunt them of course, but still…

Rock me, sexy Jesus...

Title Town Forever

Congrats Celtics! It’s great to be back! It’s great to win at home so we can celebrate at home, and it’s great to beat LA. Those smug insufferable bastards needed a comeuppance and that espeically includes all those NBA “experts” who picked against the C’s.
Just to recap here…This past year (2007/8) we had:
1. The Red Sox win the World Series
2. The Pats go undefeated in the regular season and play in the Superbowl.
3. The Celtics go from worst to first in one season by winning the NBA Championship
4. The Bruins go to the playoffs and take Montreal 7 games when no one gave them a chance.
5. Heck, even the Revs played runner up in the MLS championship (for like the 4th bloody time in a row).

Regardless of the heartache of the Pats loss and the Revs doing their very best to imitate the early ‘90’s Buffalo Bills and the Bruins making us believe they might just manage the impossible and beat Montreal, this past year has got to be counted as the most epic run of sports success for any city. EVERY team contended, 4 of 5 made it to their league’s respective championship games and Boston took two of four. These are epic times in Boston my bothers and sisters. Do not take this for granted. We will be talking about this period to our grandkids.

And finally, just think about this coming year as well. The Sox are looking like they might go the distance again…it may not be a perfect storm type of team like the 1997 MFY, but these Sox look good and we have pitching depth and quality that other teams would kill for. If Manny stays healthy and Ortiz comes back and JD keeps his pace we have every reason to believe this team will be playing in October.
The Celtics are a team that looks like they will content next year despite their aging stars.
As long as we have Tom Brady we will be a force in the NFL. We also have Belichick, Moss and Welker so we still have something to look forward to in the Fall.
The Revs are at the top of the East and look like the favorites to return for the MLS Cup. (Yeah, I know, who cares about the Revs!? I do. If you need a reason to watch, check out how Taylor Twellman got Revs into last years final: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07u0Oj1RhyM ) That is some quality shit right there…
As for the Bruins? We’ll have to see what happens in the offseason. I look forward to the future of sports here in Boston. We are the envy of everyone now. Enjoy the hell out of it ‘cause it ain’t gonna last forever.

You can take the boy outta Boston, but you can't take the Boston outta the boy.

The last quarter was beautiful

And I loved KG saying “You’re looking really good” or something like that to Michele Tafoya. :)

Look out for the C’s winning it all again next season. I know they can.

It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Right?

KG totally lost his mind for a minute there. If I didn’t know any better I’d think he dropped some acid during half time.

Manny ain't the only bad man.

Haha

KG is a odd man, he’s way too energetic. I can really see him screaming “FCKING THANK YOU VERY MOTHERFCKING MUCH” everytime he gets his fries at McDonald’s.
