I’m here. The just got into work. The weather is sh*t in sydney, so its hard to get motivated to get here on time. I agree, this should be a good series. Hamels is top flight so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes against a really patient line up.

Their line-up is pretty amazing. Thank god they don’t have enough pitching, so we won’t see them in this year’s WS (which will be played against the Padres, you heard here first). :)

It’s sort of easier on pitchers, while the intention maybe was to have them working a little harder. But that’s almost as stupid as having hitters as bullpen guys.

Colon left early because of stiffness in his back
I hope he didn’t hurt himself swinging the bat. I’m serious. I hate interleague play. The MFY will be without Wang for a long time because of an injury that happened when he was running the bases. AL pitchers aren’t used to hitting or baserunning.
If MLB doesn’t do away with interleague play, all the games should be played with the DH.

I love the DH rule, man. Pitchers are pitchers, hitters are hitters. That’s too simplistic, but that’s how the things are. There’s just no fun in seeing pitchers look embarrassing at the plate, and as you said it, there’s a injury risk because pitchers just don’t know what the fuck they’re doing there.

We didn't lose because of him
But you gotta wonder what are we gonna do with Timlin. He had a great career, and I love the guy for all he gave us. But he sucks right now, he really does. There’s nothing we can do about that. He may give us a good game here and there, but most of the time he sucks. We didn’t keep Corey, and we didn’t keep Hoolian. Timlin gave us a lot of things, but he just isn’t able to do so anymore.
I hope I don’t sound like an asshole, but when/if Masterson gets called for the bullpen, I really hope he gets Timlin spot.
