19 runs for the Tigers?
WTF?! They might as well let the setup guy finish the game, I think he can hold the lead. :)

Ells with a nearly ridiculous catch
Just missed a sliding catch into the “bullpen.”

“OK, Julio Lugo has 11 errors, but he can’t be going this bad can he?
Manny Ramirez is currently taking ground balls at shortstop. Manny’s got the night off, so I guess he’s just out there having some fun. He did it in Baltimore last week as well. So far he’s fielded every ball cleanly.”

You’re losing tonight, too. We loathe Boston out here.
Go A’s!

How often do you see a pitcher
make a catch in foul territory? Tek got hit in the face with Sweeney’s bat which stopped him from making the play. Nice job covering by Beckett though.

Sox still looking for a hit
We’ve seen a bunch of really lazy popouts/flyouts. The only well-hit ball was a liner by Papi to deep right that was caught.

A homer would have been more fun
But I’ll take it. Coco just had a very nice bunt attempt that just went foul.

Bad calls, probably, but what goes around comes around.

OK, come on guys
Please get a hit. Two would be nice. Three, even better. But at least one.

I wouldn't mind a grand slam, even if that means just a hit
Hope we still have some in store. :)

argh
went to the game, seemed so fast, home by 930?!?. Nice to have a chance to see Beckett pitch, would have been nice to see a hit or two. Oh I guess I saw two. sigh

Duchsherer...
Was very good.
I saw the game too. Aside from the 1 H, he didn’t look unhittable in the vernacular – in that there was plenty of contact, but it was all that “just hit hard enough to get a flyout/rountine ground ball” stuff. Infuriating.
I take solace from the fact that the A’s play in a stadium which still celebrates the A’s career of the great HGiambino, which looks like a prison (particularly from the BART platform), and which is located next to an industrial metal-processing plant and a chemical storage facility. I felt like I was watching the game from inside a giant crack-pipe…
