GameThread: Brewers @ Red Sox
Milwaukee Brewers @ Boston Red Sox
A sweep would be fantastic. No person better to get that for the Sox than today's starter, Josh Beckett.
Go Sox!

Just woke up
Is there anybody around? How’s Beckett looking?

But you gotta wonder why he wasn’t able to put anything in play.

Beckett's been gross today
I hope this isn’t a reversion to ‘06 Josh.

He's being bad all season
4.75 ERA is NOT ace stuff. Something’s wrong with him.

You know
If Lugo could only get his defense straight, I wouldn’t mind having him as a everyday SS. He’s not a terrific hitter, but he doesn’t hurt us as bad as Cora would can hit well enough, somehow. The problem with him is that he’s a bad infielder.

The C's already 10 points up against the LeBrons
I still can’t believe this team performs as well as it can. Come on, confess it, you thought this team could be a bust. I did, anyway, and I’m sorry.

Late to the party here
but it looks like there’s been a lot of baseball played today.

Cards won it in the 9th
It’s nice to be all alone in first …
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

The umps just stole a HR from the Mets
Is it just me, or did Jeter say something like “rule it a ball, and I’ll give you a BJ” to the umpire? :)

11-2 Mets bottom of the 8th; 2 outs
Capt Intangibles is up—am waiting for him to hit 10 run homer so the Yanks can take the lead. If he can’t do it, no one can…
"You know," Girardi said, shrugging his shoulders, "it didn't work."
