I barely see the point.
I want to see Hansen as much as anyone, and you can consider me on-board with brit’s idea to let him start this inning. But Lopez gets GBs from RHHs as well as most anyone. Let him just try to finish this off.

So I agree with you, but it’s not entirely his fault. Any pitcher consistently asked to handle situations like this is going to fail, and he’s been doing it way more often than last season. Clean, fresh, 8th innings only. Honestly, if just anecdotally, I feel like J-Lo’s done the best with IH this season. But I don’t have time to look that up right now.

and, let’s face it, he’s got to get over it. He’s far too good to be a pitcher that can only be used when there are no baserunners. Does he get more warm-up time if he starts the inning? Somehow, this is an issue he needs to address. The most valuable service a relief pitcher performs is when he can get inherited runners out. And right now, Oki sucks at that.

paper mache?? He seems to get hurt whenever the wind blows a bit, and even if he potentially hits well, what good is that if he misses half the season because the wind always blows. Is anyone else wondering about this guy’s lack of stamina?

I did not think it was so tough. Never the less, even if it was great, if Drew is going to be hurt half the time for whatever reasons (lack of judgment, stupidity, rigidity, poor conditioning, whatever), I ask again, what good is his ability then?

Even if he misses some games, that’s not something I’m too worried about. What is amazing is this team new lack of clutch hitting. Now, I have no stats to back me up on this, and I may be talking shit. But it’s amazing how we hit a lot, but never when there are men on base. With men on base, we usually strikeout or GIDP. We scored 3 runs today, 2 of these were solo HR. There’s something wrong about that.
