Oh that's getting a 'rec' from me
Bottom 9th B:1 S:0 O:0 With Bill Mueller batting, Dave Roberts steals (1) 2nd base.
F'Lugo
...is still concussed.

good evening ladies and gents
i just finished my last exam today, so all my time is now devoted to drinking heavily and the red sox/celtics

Clay
Pretty high ERA there. Not Ian Kennedy high, but I didn’t realize it was this bad.
Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone
At the moment...

sexy kinda
bases loaded and they only scored 2…not good, but not bad either.

also
if lugo had been at short, he would have tried to get the double play on that ball that got the force at third, and the twins would stil be scoring because of it.

How you know Buchholz isn't sharp
Craig Monroe had 3 BB in 22 games prior to tonight’s game. Buchholz has walked him twice.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
woof
they were just saying that they should put buchholz in the minors to work out the flaws he has…could the sox really even afford to do that? i feel like their pitching is old/weak already.

He'll probably get sent down ...
... when Colon is ready. The Sox want to cap Buchholz’s innings around 180-185. The only way to do that is to send him down and call him up later in the season.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

speaking of which
what’s the word on him? i just really started following baseball last year…i know colon’s name, but i feel like he’s old…is he still any good or what?

Colon
He used to throw 100. Over the past couple years, he’s been 85-88. Word was before he strained his oblique he was mid-90s.
Velocity isn’t everything (Farnsworth, Kyle), but it’s very encouraging. He can be very effective. Not an ace, but if he’s healthy he can be as good as Schilling has been the past couple years, in my opinion.
Manny ain't the only bad man.
Hm.
(1) Beckett; (2) Dice; (3) Lester; (4) Wake; (5) Rotundo…
I think it could work for a while. I wouldn’t bet on Colon giving us more than 10 starts over the course of the season, but who knows? If it gets Bucholz’s head right, it would be worth it.
Also, the Metrodome does strange and ungodly things to thrown balls by the visiting team – just ask Brett Favre…

But...
he plays with such abandon, he has such love for the game, blahblahblah…
I don’t care for him much myself – how much of a free pass did this guy get for most of his career spent a quarterback making poor decisions. He’s like Derek Jeter’s leftside defense.

i just think
for a guy that won ONE superbowl, the guy is loved by everyone…records don’t mean anything to me, championships is all that matters in any sport…and this guy, like you said, played by taking absurd chances but he’s loved for it…any other guys take the chances he did and mess it up, they get torn apart by these asshats on ESPN for being a shitty QB.

he hits for power when they actually want him to hit ground balls and be on the base paths..don’t even say it, i know. i love that movie and i’ve seen it a million times.

Rays...
in the wildcard…
The Yanks are a collection of choke artists, the O’s are a year, an ace, and Mark Texiera away (at least), and the Jays could benefit from Lugo’s bat at short (speaking of which…);
The A’s are doing this with smoke and mirrors, and the Angels from the region of Southern California containing Los Angeles County and Orange County, and located in Anaheim, but claiming Los Angeles will win the West;
The Central is a bunch of fakers. The Twins have the best record, but are they really better than any of the other clowns? Do you think any of them could take the Yanks, Rays, Angels or Sox in a 5 or 7 game series?
Definitely – Rays in the wildcard.
(unless we screw up)

I don't think they have...
...the pitching for a playoff series
(1) Wang; (2) Pettitte; (3) the remnant formerly known as Mussina; (4)???
I know the Rays have similar questions, but I view Shields and Kazmir as stoppers.
Plus, I am biased based on my irrational hatred of the Tankees. Couldn’t we have buried F’Lugo in their stadium?

zydrunas ilgauskas is kind of good still..i know he used to be (all star maybe?), but i thought that he was so old this year just because of his ever increasing bald spot.

I think
Buch is jealous of all the notoriety that Dice got from his eight-walk outing, and is trying to one-up his fellow pitcher.
Earth to Douchebag: Dice won that start…

Without Youk
The lineup just doesn’t do that much for me.
Hey, hey!
Successful double-play!
I think Cora can do okay for us, if it comes to that.
Put Lugo on the 15-day DL and bring up Lowrie – see if the platoon works…

Buch
What is worse? Giving 7 runs in 5 innings, or having Lopez getting an easy GIDP right after you leave the game?
Get your head straight, Buch.

Yeah.
I’m more than willing to hand out Metrodome mulligans, but I think the no-hitter shine is off the proverbial apple – he’s gotta learn how to pitch with his brains…

If TB beats the MFY
They’ll be, what, half a game behind us? That’s scary… And new. And unexpected.
Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone
And kinda nice
I don’t hate the Rays, and they’ve been everyone’s joke for so long.
Don’t get me wrong, it will stop being nice if they eventually are better than us, but at the moment, I think the “hey, didn’t you finish behind the Devil Rays” will have a nice ring when shouted at Skankees fans whimpering because we don’t respect their 26 rings…
