Ok, ok. I am going to count this game as the real Opening Day!
We're back at Fenway, folks. It really counts now. The 3-4 record? Ehh. That means nothing. The Sox are back at Fenway and the crowd is going to be pumping. The Sox will be in primo shape and I think we'll see the true Sox today.

Of why the Tigers bullpen is/is going to be awful. A lot of teams would've at least considered DFA'ing him in the offseason based on his performance last season.

Thread Question: Opinion on Jim Leyland as a manager?
Me, I want to say he's pretty good/awesome, but then I remember that he sometimes puts I-Rod in the leadoff spot. Which is...eccentric at best. And then the whole "using Jason Grilli" in tight spots thing. Which would be like if with runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out, and Tito constantly went to Kyle Snyder.

I still think he's good to very good.
I felt he managed the post-season series against the Yankees very well two years ago.

Leyland is one of the best in the AL ....
.... in firing his guys up. He also seems to handle a staff well (when they are healthy) and a bunch of prima-donnas. I remember when he was in PIT and handled Bonds with a plumb.
I think he is much better in-game manager than Torree for sure.
