first!
Good morning, well at least here, to anyone out there.
So a five game losing streak followed by Halladay and the Jays who always give us the sh*ts….can it get any worse?
Look Youk stole a base, maybe its some cosmic reverse thing and we’ll actually beat these guys for once. c’mon Sox.

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I always thought about typing “FIRST” when I was the first one on a thread but didnt want to get labeled a cornball ( which I prob am for using words like “cornball”) .
I saw your post & laughed out loud!!!!!

Quad injury
Kielty is injured too. The Sox need a healthy Drew. Hopefully, he won’t be out long.

Anyone heard anything else about the quad?
Something where he might’ve played through it later in the season, but now, it’s April, and also thank goodness we have a backup as good as Brandon Moss is?

It didn't look serious
He tweaked it running to first. He came out to RF in the top of the next inning, but was gone after that. My guess, Drew will be day-to-day.

Not necessarily hoping for it.
But you have to wonder if he’s hurt, maybe? He’s got good mechanics, good stuff, just isn’t getting it done, and isn’t even making incremental improvements per start.

Kind of surprised to see him out there. I would think with Halladay being heavy-GB, this would be a game for John McDonald.

recap
Lester was great, still gave up 4 walks though. Halladay, was well, he was Halladay. Fast, efficient, very difficult to hit. But hey, 1 bb, and 2 singles and it was done. I think in the 8th, Moss got robbed of a double, then it was followed by a single. So in the last 2 innings we started to hit a bit.

huh?
Don’t consider walks in isolation. He gave up four walks and one hit in 8 innings. That makes for a .675 WHIP, i.e. a great outing for Lester.
I think we can see rest definitely helps Lester. With 3 days rest, he’s crap. With 5 days, he’s lights out.

Awesome game.
The Sox really needed to win this one. I couldn’t take any more flawless pitching, zero offense losses.
