Tommy John For Hagadone?
Via rotoworld.com : Red Sox left-handed pitching prospect Nick Hagadone could need Tommy John elbow surgery.
Not good news as he was killing it at Single-A Greenville, with a 33 inning scoreless streak before his last start.
I don't think Hagadone's ETA was anywhere in 2008, but this certainly delays his arrival probably delays it by a year.
Jeez, even the players in the Sox' farm teams aren't immune to the sudden Flu-Like Symptoms/Injury bug.

Very unfortunate, as he was the next big pitcher in the production line. Power lefties are hard to come by.
And this follows the news of Austin Bailey’s torn labrum (haven’t seen it confirmed in an official source).
Bottom 9th B:1 S:0 O:0 With Bill Mueller batting, Dave Roberts steals (1) 2nd base.

A definate bummer
But in some ways, better that this come to light now when he still has time to recover in the minors before being needed at the big club.

TJ not a big deal anymore
Most starting pitchers have TJ surgery at some point during their career these days. The good news is that it’s becoming a more routine procedure and pitchers often recover to be as good or better than they were before the surgery. It usually takes 1 year to recover and rehab from the procedure and then another year to get command and stuff back.
