GameThread: Red Sox (8-6) @ Indians (5-8)
Boston Red Sox at Cleveland Indians, Apr 15, 2008 7:05 PM EDT
With a win tonight, the Red Sox will have earned themselves four-straight wins for the first time all season.
Tonight's starters:
GAME/OTHER NOTES: Rookie Jed Lowrie will start tonight's game, either at third base or shortstop. Most likely Sean Casey will be given a night off and Kevin Youkilis will slide over to first to make room for Lowrie at third ... Coco Crisp, David Ortiz and DeMarlo Hale will all be wearing No. 42 tonight in honor of Jackie Robinson ... Ortiz requested to be in last night's lineup via text message. At first, Terry Francona thought it was his daughter until a naughty word popped up on his phone ... Kyle Snyder cleared waivers yesterday and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Byrd
can’t last much longer. The Indians bullpen is a little messed up right now so if they can score a few off of Byrd they will be in good shape.

I wouldn't
say they are that well built. Last year was kind of a fluke with the two pitchers at Cy Young level. Bryd has some good game and is a decent number 5 but Westbrook and Lee are very inconsistent. The bottom of the order is Minnesota Twins bad and even Cabrera looks over matched so far this season. Peralta is the slowest SS of all time and Blake is not even a AAAA player at this point in his career. The Red Sox on the other hand are rolling and it doesn’t look like that is going to change for a long time.
