Brandon Moss optioned to Pawtucket
Moss was optioned to AAA today following his two starts in place of J.D. Drew. One can only assume this means that Drew feels up to playing during or after the exhibitions in Los Angeles.

Ellsbury
Do you think Jacoby will stay with the Red Sox all year? Or could he be finding his way back to Pawtucket?

The...
...only way I can see Tacoby being sent down, well, two things:
1. Extreme ineffectiveness + mental lapses + pressing
2. Coco hits like it's 2005 in Cleveland.
I don't know that he'd be kept up as a reserve-only if for some reason Coco outhits him, though I think it would require a combination of the two above conditions.

JE
Mr. Ellsbury is here to stay, I believe. I think it's safe to say he'd only be demoted if he hit WORSE than Pedroia did last year in his first month.

Being from Oregon, where Jacoby's from...
Thats good to hear. He had a great story, and he's a great kid.
And by the way, My Jacoby taco is vaccum sealed in my freezer. Maybe I'll try to get him to sign it next time he's in town...

Surprising Move
I guess that game tying HR in game 1 wasn't good enough. Anyway, this probably means two things:
1.) Drew's back is fine.
2.) Crisp is here to stay for at least a little while.

Not surprising
Right now, Moss doesn't really have a role. The Sox don't really need another lefty bat off the bench. And, with Dizzle and Tacoby, they don't really need a left-handed 4th OF. If (or when) Crisp is moved, Kielty, a switch-hitter, will likely be the 4th OF.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.
