Visiting from Chicago!

Attn: RED SOX FANS! I'm going to be visiting your beautiful ballpark in August with some of my buddies to see a game and I was hoping for a little bit of help from those of you that know the area well (we'll be coming from a Phillies game in PA). I'm looking for a hotel that is somewhat affordable and close to the ballpark. We're going to the game on Aug 29 vs the White Sox. The following day we're driving out to NY for a Yankees game BOOO!! Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

"Affordable" and "Fenway Park" aren't used in conjunction too often. But there is the Howard Johnsons right around the corner, that's probably the most affordable hotel in the area. Other than that, there's the Hotel Commonwealth, but that's kind of ritzy. That's all that comes to mind. And even if it's 15-20 bucks extra for the Hojo (as opposed to a more budget place further away), it's worth it. Great bars and restaurants in the area.
