Andy Pettitte as a Sox? Hmm. Interesting, for sure.

Interesting
I would at least look into it but it is highly unlikely this would happen. My wife certainly would be happy with this because she thinks he is hot with a major flaw (NYY).
Baseball is God's sport! All Truth Goes Through Three Stages 1.It is ridiculed 2.It is violently opposed 3.Finally, it is accepted as self-evident. kinesiologist
That’s horrible, my heart goes out to you.

I think he was pissed at the MFY
For not picking up his $16 million option. Cashman is trying to bring him back at less money. Pettitte may be using the Sox to drive up his price.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

The big reason to bring him on
would be to spite Yankee fans.
Actually, there are a number of things in his favor. He’s a decent pitcher who wouldn’t cost draft picks (because he wasn’t offered arbitration). And he’s pitched 200+ innings each of the past four years. And he pitches pretty well in Fenway. And his FIP from last year (3.74) was substantially lower than his ERA (4.54). You could argue that he was victimized by the Yankees’ atrocious defense (.667 DER behind him).
Negatives:
- Steroids
- Made injections into Roger Clemens’ butt
- True Yankeeism
- 37
If we didn’t already have so many good pitching options, grabbing Pettitte would be a no-brainer. As it is, I’d probably pass on him, because I want a space for Buchholz / Bowden to develop in the rotation.
