Just a thought...

With the Yankees signing Mark Teixeira, there comes into large question the future of Manny Ramirez.  It seemed like he would sadly go over to the rival for a lot of money, but after signing Tex, it may be safe to guess that the Yankees maybe (Finally!) running out of capital.  Also, Tex was probably the bat they locked up so they wouldn't have to deal with Manny; after all, they know as well as anyone that he is a problem on and off the field.  So, if it comes down to that the Yankees have no interest in Ramirez, then who does?  Of the Big Market Teams-The Angels have declared themselves no part of the sweepstakes, and the Red Sox are pretty much not an option either.  The Phillies hired Raul Ibanez to fill their LF void, so the question comes to where he goes.  The Dodgers are the only interested suitors (though the money the Nats would have spent on Tex could go toward Manny).  Though even still with the miniscule market for his services, the price will probably not be pretty on Manny's standards.  Then comes into question whether he actually gets equal or greater than the $20 million that the Red Sox option would have guaranteed him.  If not, then the question becomes how much he actually gets, and how much  longer Ramirez still employs Scott Boras; after all, the agent would lose him guaranteed money from the Sox with his orchestrated exit from Boston.  If Ramirez does fire Boras, would Manny go even as far as to attempt to conciliate with the Red Sox as they were the ones offering him the $20 million after all.  This could prove a very interesting saga for the future Hall of Famer...

Dodgers.

Who else?

Well, I will appreciate for you to keep my zingers out of your mouth!

Dodgers are the only real option at this point. Mets ownership is refusing to let Omar Minaya deal with him, which I find pretty hilarious.

it is funny but

you think other teams dont look at what happened when manny got unhappy with boston?? it took him what 5, 6 seconds to run to first he didnt run out fly balls he didnt take his bat off his shoulder in that game that he pinch hit for someone against the yankees at the stadium this year .. sure when mannys happy he is an impact player and at times can very much so carry a team but many worry about him just turning because he ends up unhappy … it sucks but its the truth … maybe a team will arise and give him a one year deal or an incentive contract i think that would be a good thing for the team that does sign him .. i will tell you what though whenever i happened to catch a yankees-sox game or saw the sox on espn manny must bring some fun to the clubhouse and the fans of the teams he IS happy with lol

Are grammar and sentence structure something you deliberately TRY to avoid?

And I want y'all to sign him.

Make the clubhouse fall apart sooner.

At this point, if Manny wants to come back, I say he owes the Sox for slacking off as many times as he did. If he wants to come back for $10M/year, fine — he should pay a big penalty for goofing off in order to get out of his contract because he wanted more money.

But we already have Ellsbury, Bay, and Drew, so we’d have to trade Drew away.

You think Manny would come back with his head down,

and his tail between his legs?
Doubtful.
He’s got too much dumb stubborn pride for that, especially at $10MM a year. No way. The Sox won’t deal with the headache of his antics and of trading drew/bay. Erase this idea from your head. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN

Now that the Dodgers are supposedly "out"

where do you think he’s going? I’m starting to lean more toward the Mets again, even though Minaya said it wasn’t going to happen. Any other thoughts? I just hope he doesn’t go to the MFY

I want him there.

So when we beat their spoiled asses, Papi can go over to Manny and sock him in the face.

I feel bad for Papi

There are hardly any more Dominicans on the roster. You always used to see him hanging around Pedro and Manny. Who’s he gonna hang around now? Lugo? Ramirez? Where have all the Dominicans gone?

And this is in no way supposed to be racist

Oh crap, let's get ARod to play SS for us.

Then Papi would have his Domini-friend.

"take a shoot"?

Can’t see the Nats REALLY wanting an OF of Manny, Dukes, and Milledge (although the folks at FedBall seem to). Do the O’s have a DH for next season?
