I voted the same way. "DO I LIVE FOR THIS? …uh,no. However, I live in D.C. and I think the D.C. / Easter Virginia and Wesern Maryland casual baseball fan would definitely love to have a high profile and consistent bat here with the NATS. Even though I’m a true blue (and orange) METS fan, I’ve got a place in my heart for the NATS because I was here for the inaugural season. So, I guess you could call me somewhat of a plank owner. (Coast Guard term for being involved with the beginning.)

Also, all of this acquisition talk forces me to get into the nuts and bolts of baseball minutiae and as a result, makes me (hopefully) a better blogger and better fan of the game.
