I'm a Sox fan who wishes Youk would've won it. I think Pedroia may be near the heart and soul of the team with Ortiz, but Youk had to step up big time this year. Here's an article I find where the guy makes a valid argument for Morneau over Pedroia. But no way he should've won it over the big YOUKKKK.

Rob Neyer has made an excellent argument to the effect that Morneau isn’t even the MVP of the Twins. I agree with him, and would put Joe Mauer ahead of him.
I thought Youk was on an MVP pace until he missed some time near the end of the season.
Too many MVP candidates missed significant chunks of time: Quentin in Chicago, Youk, and Longoria in Tampa. It was a weird year in the AL.
