Interesting analysis of how the Yankees' and Red Sox' offseason moves could pay out. I think the article should consider the possible returns for Lowell and/or Crisp in a trade, but overall it's well-written.

Issues.
Gerald Laird is not worth Michael Bowden. Laird is a mediocre catcher with no upside. Bowden is a young pitcher with #2 or #3 starter potential. Laird is worth a bad bullpen arm or Julio Lugo, nothing more. Bowden is arguably worth Saltalamacchia (now that he’s lost some luster).
