Your bottom 1/3rd is gawdawful
We can at least play matchups. 1-6 is probably about even as Bay seems to be your best homer threat of late. If Sloppy wakes up in time this lineup looks different, but he hasn’t looked the same since he hurt that wrist shoveling food in his maw.

Good
I’m glad you aren’t afraid of them, because they are hitting a combined .286 in the postseason. Once they get on base too, you have to face the top of our order.
The best part is we still managed to score 4.5 runs a game against a good pitching staff without hitting home runs. I can’t wait till they do starting hitting them again.

Now you're being silly
Kotsay, Lowrie and Tek is a better bottom of the line-up than Navarro, Gross, Bartlett. Anyway you slice it, the Sox have a better line-up than the Rays. It’s not even.
Mother---- him and John Wayne!

Youk vs. Longoria I’d say is a push. Youk would probably have a higher OBP and maybe even a higher OPS, but Longoria is a bigger threat to hit bombs in a pinch.

Re
This method of comparing lineups is flawed, but I agree with you anyway. Although as a pitcher I would fear Pena-Longoria more than Ortiz-Youk (barely) we have a clear advantage 1-9.

CF: Ellsbury vs. Upton. Advantage: Rays
This is playoffs, not the regualr season, jacoby is our best playoff hitter as of right now, and he was last year, too…………Upton has two Hr’s that he hit in one game, other than that your just crazy for taking him over jacoby.
