Is this looking to be a rain-out tonight?

Re: OTM: 9-20-07 @ Tampa Bay
sort of. I think Randy jumped the gun,(failed to look at the date). The sox are off tonight, Beckett vs Kazmir is friday night.

Re: OTM: 9-20-07 @ Tampa Bay
Jumped the gun? Randy was guaranteeing an open thread for tomorrow's momentum-builder of a game. Plus I want a lot of OTMs :)

Re: OTM: 9-20-07 @ Tampa Bay
OK liar. You put the wrong date in the title(9-20-07), but I see you went back and fixed it. Whats up with the third person usage.

Re: OTM: 9-20-07 @ Tampa Bay
I prefer to think that Randy tried to put into motion the following scenario based on a few beliefs:

*That Scott Kazmir reads DRaysBay (idk) and followed a link to here.

  • Kazmir started to believe he was pitching Thursday, not Friday.
  • An accomplice of Randy's placed cardboard cutouts of Sox players at the plate.
  • Before someone catches him, Kazmir throws too many pitches to be available for the real game, Friday.
...or, he wasn't paying attention to game dates. :)

Red Sox Fantasy
OK, so I asked this last night during the game, and since the Sox are off tonight, it might be a good time to repeat the question:

Has anyone here been to the Sox Fantasy Camp?

If so, some feedback, please?

Re: Open Thread: 9-21-07 @ Tampa Bay
A&B: Beckett gets W #20, Kazmir does not get a quality start, 2 or more HRs from Sox batters.

Re: Open Thread: 9-21-07 @ Tampa Bay
As far as the new D-Rays uniforms go, maybe they and the Mariners should just merge. That'd be a scary [censored] team.

Of course, with Adam Jones, Balentien (sp?) and all the Rays guys, they'd have like 19 starting OFs under the age of 25

Toss out the OTM I made last night when I thought the game was being played last night.

New OTM for 21 September:
A&B: Lowell gets 2 RBI and Beckett gets 20th win.

What would Dogbert do?

OTM
Beckett gets his 20th
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

OTM
Beckett gets 20th W.  Stankees lose. Becks wins the pundits over on the Cy Young. Boston gets it's swagger back.

Sox are running on Kazmir
Another error makes a stolen base into 2 bases.

Re: Sox are running on Kazmir
Navaro has 12 errors on the season.

That strikes me as being absolutely terrible.

Just my two cents. Keep the change.

Beckett seems to have found a groove
1-2-3 4th inning, featuring 2 Ks. Up to 92 pitches.

Re: Open Thread: 9-21-07 @ Tampa Bay
I must reiterate.  Crisp and Varitek are simply awful at the plate.  Oh, so is Lugo.  See, that is twice we had a chance to put the opponent away.  We failed.  No clutch hitting AGAIN!

Re: Open Thread: 9-21-07 @ Tampa Bay
Do we ever need Youk and Manny back. Taking nothing away from Kazimir, just a fly ball from Varitek would have helped.

Just for good measure, our guys have struck out 12 times in 7 innings.
