Sox option Lopez; Schilling returns from DL

To make room for Curt Schilling to start tomorrow night against the Angels, the Red Sox optioned Javy Lopez to Pawtucket.

Who else could they have? It seems like the only option. They weren't going to DFA Kyle Snyder or Julian Tavarez, even though they are pretty much two pitchers for one spot, long relief.

This bullpen is looking a lot different now that Eric Gagne has his name penned in. This, barring injury, is the best possible pitching staff that we have. The only thing I could see differently is if Jon Lester is demoted and someone like Clay Buchholz earns a start down the road.

Re: Sox option Lopez; Schilling returns from DL
I had posed this question earlier in the week (who goes down when Schilling comes back) and someone nailed, but I forget who. Allen maybe?

On another topic, 12 people out of a hundred gave the Gagne deal an F. Does that mean we have 12 trolls? Does anyone really think it deserves an F, as opposed to a D?

Just my two cents. Keep the change.

Usually when I post a poll with bad grades or bad options, it's usually the Yankee trolls that like to vote that way.

Perhaps Kason is a visitor? ;-) Although it's gotta be at least bittersweet for him. If you follow the, logic (might not be the right word) that we'll have too many starters by at least mid-2008, he'd almost certainly have been the odd man out. If he can show decent control, he could stay in the Rangers rotation for awhile.

I'm just shocked that there's 12 of them. I see one or two every once and a while, but apparently we've got some lurker trolls just checking in every once and a while to throw our polls.
Just my two cents. Keep the change.

Okay thanks, I figure I'm going to be saying that name often so I might as well say it right.
