Eck to Bo Sox ???

* mlb.com,http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ says the Red Sox are scouting Eckstien. Is this true? I would hate to see him go if the cards can get back in the race, just swept a double header w/ the Beer Makers. Who would they be giving up for an Eck Rental?? And what would you do with Lugo?? We don't want him, I think.St. Louis is in desperate need of some quality pitching. It seems once "Me Curt Schilling" (Leprechaun) comes back maybe they have an expendable starter or two in the minors. Who would you think you would be willing to give up for Eck and please don't say some trash pitcher that you are tired of seeing give up runs cause we already got several of those need another one like we got a hole in the head.

Good god I hope not.

No need for Eckstein. The amount of MIFs we have with hitting problems or no power is too high already. Also, Lugo has this thing called range at SS.

I like Eck, but at this point, I don't see how he'd be an upgrade anywhere but in place of Alex Cora on the bench. Why would the Sox give up prospects to rent a bench player?

Actually red blazer, seeing as I live in Saint Louis and I assume you do to you should know its actually an hour earlier in st.louis than it is in Boston.

I didn't see Pedroia get hit by the pitch the other night, but is it possible he broke something? He hasn't played for a couple days, maybe they're hiding an injury.

Otherwise I can't see any reason why the Sox would be scouting Eckstein.

why in the world would we need eckstein? Pedroia is fine, Lugo is heating up a bit, and Alex Cora is no doubt a fine backup for the middle infield. If we need a new middle infielder, it would be a backup, to help out down the stretch.
