JD Drew's first year

Didn't exactly know where to post this, but the link below is worth checking out.

It is a review of Drew's first year in boston. And you get to vote on how awful it was. pretty good...check it out.

I voted for "small fleece". Not only did he have that ALCS homer, but people forget how hot he was in September. Granted, he didn't deserve such a large contract, but if Sept/Oct is a sign of what's to come, this deal isn't nearly as bad as we once thought.

How dare anyone make fun of J D Drew after all he's been through!

His son got sick, and he had to take a new contract with Boston because LA wouldn't pay him what he deserved.

He played for all these teams (LA, ATL, St Louis) and gave them his all, sometimes from the disabled list. And that wasn't enough, you fans wanted MORE MORE MORE: more time being healthy, more home runs, more loyalty to your city and team. But how are you loyal if you criticize someone who was once on your team?

He's a HUMAN BEING! You don't realize that he's playing a game, and being paid millions of dollars, for you.

LEAVE J D DREW ALONE! You are so lucky he's even playing baseball for you!

Quick note- he didn't have to "take a new contract with Boston because LA wouldn't pay him what he deserved." He was making $11 million a year and decided that was not enough.

JD Drew had a much better year than Trot Nixon, fact fans. Imagine if the popular vote had got its way, and Trot was re-signed. Our right fielder would have had a slg in the low three hundreds. That's as low as you can go without bunting every time you're at the plate. That's almost Neifi Perez bad.
