Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0

I'm a huge Patriots fan so I've got to mention the team's huge 38-35 victory over the Giants tonight. Their win was No. 16 this season -- a perfect season.

Congratulation Patriots, but the season isn't over yet. 16-0 is great, but it's not as great as winning a Super Bowl trophy. We need that trophy to really cap off this great regular season.

Go Pats!

Re: Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0
awesome team but lacks class, in 10 years no one will remember that though.
the difference between a yankee stadium hot dog and a fenway frank is that they dont sell yankee dogs in november anymore.

They win too much, clearly. And they don't have Derek Jeter.

And they don't go around telling the whole world how classy they are, unlike most of the people who claim they're classless.

School on a Sunday
I find it hard to root for the Pats because I can't root for anyone seen in Yankee gear
( Brady); anyone who( allegedly/supposedly) runs over meter maids ( Moss) and anyone who disregards fashion ( the coach).

I have worn a Pettitte shirt to bed ( a gift) & still have it --felt guilty even before his steroid/HGH stuff but can't seem to throw it away.

I also wanted to be a meter maid at one time  but now it is  one of my post-law school dreams to become general counsel for Kenneth Cole.

Maybe these are personal issues I need to deal with...seriously, I don't care-- honestly I've never rooted for the Pats but woo hoo!!

Hub of the Sports Universe
After so many bleak years in the sports universe, these past few years in Boston have been so sweet to enjoy. Multiple Super Bowls and World Series wins were something I cound't even contemplate prior to the new millenium. Now, to see these two organizations being held as examples to the rest of their respective leagues, and the Celtics returning to form, is redemption for our long-term support.

How could ya wear anything Yankees to bed!?!? Gift or no gift, dissapointing. :)

uh this post might not be for the kids but...
There are a few MFY anythings I'd "wear"  to bed...

On a different note, I watched my 2004 dvds over the holiday weekend & noticed a few things:

First: Arod's lips are a completely different color now --from a crazy blue  hue to  rose-lipped maiden pink.

Second: Chris Myers' commentary was most annoying. I didn't get the 2007 dvds for my birthday or Christmas so if anyone wants to send them to me feel free...

Third: Ortiz has gained ALOT of weight since 2004.

That's not weight, that's pure muscle!

Really though, I just think he's bulked up a little bit more.

Agreed.
I wouldn't be caught dead in anything Yankees.

Re: Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0
You realize that unless they sweep the playoffs, those 95 year old Dolphins will STILL never shut up, right?

Even if they go "18"-0 and then drop the Super Bowl it won't matter. :/

Annoying.

Re: Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0
Until that time, the Dolphins' achievement will be superior to the current Pats. Let's wait until the end of January and see how things lie. You never know, maybe those old Dolphins will have their dinner with the current Pats ...

Re: Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0
I am not good with math but 95 year olds?  The Dolphins were perfect in 1972 so were they in their 60's ( or close to) when they played?

I don't find the Dolphin members to be annoying, or no more annoying than Pats fans going on & on about the Pats' perfect season. It's an accomplishment; let them cherish it.

Re: Patriots defeat Giants, go 16-0
They're all pretty good except Mercury Morris. That guy has to move on with his life and not be so obsessed with another team being perfect.

From a Dolphin Fan
As a Dolphin fan from 1971 when they played against the Cowboys in the Super Bowl (there's a story there I won't get into), and having been a believer that the Pat's would move to Hartford (where I live), I could NEVER root for them.

Yes, they're making this season a memorable one for many of us, but they've been way too lucky in my opinion. I for one can't wait until they blow a game now that they've gone undefeated.
