Quest for tickets in Denver

Is anyone trying to get tickets to the series in Denver?  I guess their website has been overwhelmed. I've been trying since 10am MT.  Anyone have any experience with post season ticket buying? Do we have to pick up the tickets at will call or do they have online tickets? My most recent red sox ticket purchase was for an A's game (I live in CA now) and we got electronic tickets for those games. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I have thought about being in an oppsosing park and all, but I don't want to miss my chance so I'm going to at least try.

Re: Quest for tickets in Denver
Seems like no one is reading this, but what the heck I'll share. We got tickets!!!!!  I figured we'd give it a shot and probably wouldn't get them, but then we did. I am somewhat torn that I kept the tickets from Rockies fans, but somehow the thought of my grandfather in 1918 saying "nah I'll skip it, I'll have another chance someday" changed my mind. He never saw them win after that.

Congrats
Which game?

I found out tonite that I'm going to Game 2. I have to skip a day and a half of work, but it's worth it.

Re: Congrats
You're going to a WS game. Quit work and then burn the building down, who cares?

Very envious.

Re: Quest for tickets in Denver
It is a chance of a lifetime isn't it!!! (getting excited again). The tickets are for Game 3, so I'll see Matsuzaka pitch. I hope he'll make me proud. It's not fenway but it's still awesome!!

Glad it's not Game 5
It's a bummer to have a ticket for a game that never happens.

(I'm not predictng a sweep, I'm just saying that'd be unfortunate...)

Rockies Fans?
Anyone know if it's dangerous to be wearing my colors (basically my suite of red sox gear) at coors field or on transit out there in Denver? It was suggested that I lay low until inside the stadium, but it's not that bad is it?

Re: Rockies Fans?
I have no idea. Maybe you could ask the nice people over at Purple Row. But I will say I saw plenty of Rockies fans walking around Fenway last night (and by plenty, I mean like 6) in their stripes, and they had no problem from us.

Re: Rockies Fans?
Oh my god was it the best ever being at fenway for the world series?

I figure I should be ok Sat/Sun. Just thought I'd ask though.

Re: Rockies Fans?
I would think you'll be fine, so long as you don't act obnoxious or anything, and I doubt you would anyway.

Though I still don't understand why most baseball fans think opposing fans in their ballpark should be like dead silent. With some, it's not even about actual obnoxious behavior.

"How could you come into our ballpark to watch your team, and y'know, in a non-offensive or gregarious manner, root for said team. We should stone those people after GBA."

Rockies fans at Fenway had better be/have been cheering their dudes on in the last coupla games, and if/when it makes it back to Fenway, they'd better do it then too.

"was it the best ever being at fenway?"
yes. though it was surprisingly quiet. i was easily the loudest guy in our section, and i'm not that loud. and i had the best seats i've ever had at any game i've ever been to, on the third base line where the stands jut out into the field (like where the ball hit the wall when lofton didn't run home in game 7) and about 6-7 rows back. ridiculous.

and it was a great game. i'm glad it wasn't a laugher like game. it was really tense fr the first few innings, until they took the lead in the 5th. and then it was tense but i certain confidence pervaded with oki and paps pitching. great stuff.

and i got interviewed by jim caple for espn, but he didn't use it in his segment (doh). i guess i wasn't at my most eloquent. he asked if the red sox were the new yankees and my wife said i looked like i wanted to punch him. oh well.

Re: "a laugher like game 1"
Thanks, I know it will be a blast. Weird that it was quiet at fenway. Past people's bedtimes? I mean it's the world series people!!!

I can't be that quiet at games. Respectful yes, quiet no. :)
