Notes
  • Got Manny? No. No we don't.
  • Papelbon is on the road to recovery. He will possibly face some hitters tomorrow after throwing on flat ground today.
  • Abe Lincoln has had arthroscopic surgery. Apparently some rather severe damage was found. He might be wicked awesome next season now that it's fixed. Or not.
  • Extra Bases has next year's shedule summarized here. The season begins April 2nd at Kansas City and the home opener is April 10th against Seattle. We'll face the D-Backs, Braves, Rockies, Padres and Giants in interleague play.

I think Mueller is done
He'll probably retire after the season.
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Bedard is pitching well at the moment,
unfortunately. 2.35 ERA in September so far.

I love Tavarez's thing
where he points to the base the ball should be thrown to. The enthusiasm!

Tavarez seems to get a HUGE
amount of lateral moment on his pitches.

hehe! Tavarez
sprints towards 2nd to try to tag out the runner... he's a madman. And I love it.

then Lowell grounds weakly
into a double play. Crappy hitting. A lot of players looking really tired now.

Re: Open Thread: 9.29.06 vs Baltimore
First off, poor Papelbon. Too bad he can't come cartwheeling to "Wild Thing" with that shoulder. Best he concentrate on making those pitches again. Compared to other players who have been injured as well, he is still lucky I think. He's got twin brothers who are both baseball pros. They can help him practice his pitching arm. Nothing like support from family.
