• Pedroia makes his major league debut! He takes the place of Gonzo, who's gone on the DL with an oblique strain. Also, no Manny. He has hamstring issues but is not expected to miss more than a few games.
• Lenny DiNardo's moving on up. He has been sent to AA Portland for a new rehab assignment. In his previous rehab assignment with the GCL, he gave up one run, not earned, in 4.2 IP.
• David Wells cleared waivers a while back. ESPN has a short story on the subject.
• Baltimore beat Minnesota and Detroit beat the ChiSox earlier tonight. Good day to pick up a game in the wild card race, eh?
