Sorry for the late thread, just got out of work.

Our 2B
is better than their 2B.

I like Alex Cora
It would be a shame to see him leave at the end of the season.

by britsoxfan on Jul 2, 2006 3:40 PM EDT reply actions

nice inning so far.
cora single. kapler whacks a single on a hit-and-run, cora to third. youk then lines out to 3rd but marky-mark drives the ball deep to left allowing cora to score from 3rd.

4-3 sox.

cora's hitting .297 on the season...
granted, the sample size is small with only 91 AB's. but still.

i like him too. he's toolsy. man, i hate that word, though.

rough deal with the portugal game yesterday. your squad seems to fall on penalties every single championship. heartbreaking stuff.

by the way, I think the Sun Sports announcers are
kinda ok. good, almost. sure, no remdawg-orsillo, but still. they stick to the game. no jibber-jabber!

But how dare they
tell Red Sox fans to sit down after that near-beaning of Papi. The cheek!

I don't think Cristiano Ronaldo
is going be welcomed back to Man Utd.

Thanks for your kind words. Yeah. Pretty rough stuff. But it exposed several flaws in the English system/squad/management. New start now. New chances to squander our 'golden generation'...

Now about that 2-2 draw...

i hate cristiano ronaldo. almost as much as i hate
wayne friggin rooney (yes, i'm a gooner). i loved the entire red card situation. evil vs evil. and evil lost ;)

great stuff from delcarmen here. on cometh the paps.

oh yeah, by the way, we had you in that 2-2 game. absolutely friggin had you begging for mercy. way to defend them corner kicks ;)

Both times Beckham was at fault
And I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of Beckham as an England player. Today he gave up the captaincy, and I'm not sure he can justify selection automatically any more.

It would be nice to bloody beat your lot though...

by britsoxfan on Jul 2, 2006 3:57 PM EDT up reply actions

I like Delcarmen.
He can stay.

Julian Tavarez? He can go.

by britsoxfan on Jul 2, 2006 3:53 PM EDT reply actions

let's send away tavarez and seanez
we can trade them to the royals or some other shitty team for a bucket of balls and a 7th round draft pick. we should eat their entire salary too, to make it work. they do WAY more harm than good. i like a timlin-paps-foulke-hansen-delcarmen-loogyguy(what's his name?) bullpen a lot more than a timlin-paps-foulke-seanez-tavarez-loogyguy bullpen.

by SweSox on Jul 2, 2006 3:58 PM EDT up reply actions

lopez was his name-o
weirdly wrong of me to call him loogyguy. left handed one out guy guy...

i should think first and write second.
so hath my mother said my entire life...

Josh Willingham's at bat music
is Even Flow by Pearl Jam. I'm sort of rooting for the kid now.

YEAH!
Still the best in baseball (stupid ESPN Power Rankings)

Sadly the matchup in NY
is Soler vs Wright. Well. You never know.

As I Brit, naturally I'm shocked by this extract
from an article in today's Globe.

Timlin agreed. ``I'm a professional shagger," he said.
